About the Studio
Two Tails Pottery Studio is a welcoming art space that offers paint-your-own-pottery, wheel lessons, clay hand building, birthday parties, and private events for anyone looking to explore their artistic side. The studio offers a wide variety of pottery pieces to choose from, allowing guests to create their own unique masterpieces in an inviting environment where creativity flows. So...how does pottery painting work?
Step 1: Pick Your Pottery
We have tons of earthenware and stoneware pottery to paint! The price associated with each piece includes the pottery, the paint, the time spent painting in studio, and having it fired. We have a range of items from party animals, to functional dishes, to seasonal decor!

Step 2: Paint Your Piece
Once paint colors are chosen and written down to fill out a paint card, our staff will pour the paint. Brushes and other tools are all provided and can be used to work on the masterpiece. We recommend a solid three coats of paint for best coverage.

Step 3: Leave It With Us
We will hold onto the final painted pieces for one week. Earthenware will be dipped into a clear glaze and all pottery will go through the kiln at a minimum of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit before being dremeled and packaged.
Take a look at our Reservations & Events page to reserve a table for pottery painting. We also have more details about wheel lessons, birthday parties, and other upcoming events listed there.
About the Owner

Hannah Sharron has owned the beloved pottery studio since 2019, after purchasing the business from the previous owner. She renamed the studio in 2025 from Paint Your Own Pottery or PYOP Studio to Two Tails Pottery Studio in the hopes the rebranding would better reflect her personality and allow for expansion in the future. The name “Two Tails” is a nod to the owner’s two yellow labs, Henry and George, occasional guests who roam within the space and now studio mascots!
