Frequently Asked Questions
We get a lot of questions about pottery painting and our studio...let us answer some common questions for you!
Are kids welcome? Are adults welcome?
Yes! All ages are welcome to come paint in the studio
How much does it cost to paint?
Each piece is individually priced! On average, pieces are within the $25-$40 range. The price of the piece includes the pottery itself, the paint, the time spent in the studio painting, and having it fired!
What if I don't finish painting?
That’s okay! Sometimes masterpieces take time to create. If you don’t finish painting, you will pay for the item and fill out a “Work In Progress” sheet. You’ll take the pottery home with you and can come back anytime within the next 90 days to complete your piece.
Can you ship my pottery to me?
No! We do not ship pottery after it is fired; you must come collect your pieces from us.
Can I drop my kids off?
Nope! While we are excited to have your kids express their creativity in the studio, adults or older teens must accompany painters 13 and under at all times.
How does it work?
Once you take a look around at all the options in the studio, you’ll pick out the piece you’d like to paint and select your colors. A member of our staff will pour the paint for you and instruct you to cover your piece in three coats for best coverage. Once you finish painting, you pay for the pieces and leave it with us for one week.
When can I pick up my pottery?
You can come back to pick up your fired pottery a week from the day you painted. We don’t call or text, so just stop in! If you’re worried it might not be ready, feel free to give us a call so we can check for you.
Will you fire pottery I made elsewhere?
Nope! We can’t be sure that pottery from elsewhere will be okay in our kiln, which could result in the piece, the kiln, or other guest’s pieces being damaged.
Do you have any same day projects?
No! Pottery is a long process whether it’s clay building or painting. Our kiln takes time to run and fire your piece, so please plan on getting your piece back a week from the day you paint.
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are always welcome in our studio, although we cannot always guarantee there will be space. If your group is larger than four, we ask for a reservation.
How long does it take to paint?
There is no limit to your time spent painting your piece. You can spend an hour or the whole day creating your masterpiece.
How long will you hold my pottery?
We will only hold your pottery for 60 days, pottery not picked up in time will not be held. We have limited space and are always firing new projects, so please come collect your pottery in a timely manner! We will give you one reminder phone call to pick up your pottery once it is approaching the 60 day mark.
Can you help me do my baby's prints?
Yes, we do baby handprints and footprints. If you would like assistance, feel free to call ahead to make sure a member of staff will be able to help you.
Can I bring food to the studio?
Light snacks and drinks are welcome in the studio! If you are bringing in a catered meal, cakes, or anything more involved we will require a $50 event fee to serve food and beverages to larger groups.
Is your building handicap accessible?
Yes! Our unit is on the first floor, with no stairs for entry.
